Why baby alpaca, not wool?
Most pet sweaters are acrylic, wool blend, or cotton. None of those materials thermoregulate. They are warm or they are not. Baby alpaca is different: the hollow fibre structure traps air and releases it as the dog's temperature changes. Warm in the cold, breathable indoors.
Hypoallergenic by nature
Wool contains lanolin, the natural oil that makes it itch. Baby alpaca contains none. Dogs with sensitive skin tolerate it without reaction. So do their owners.
The first shearing
Baby alpaca refers to fibre grade, not animal age. It is the first shearing from any alpaca: the finest, longest staple the animal will ever produce. Graded under 22 microns. Softer than most cashmere. Stronger than it looks.
