As for the production of garments, unlike sheep’s wool and cotton, the fibre of alpaca doesn’t require any chemical add-ons in its production, so it doesn’t pollute nor harm the environment.

  • Light footprint: they nibble the grass and do not harm natural vegetation. 
  • Gentle with the soil: their padded feet do not harm the terrain and the natural environment. 
  • Easy adaptation: they can live in different climates, conditions and elevations. 
  •  Efficient: one alpaca can produce enough fibre for 9-10 dog sweaters. Cashmere can only produce ¼ of a sweater. 
  • Hypoallergenic wool: Alpaca fibre pills less and is hypoallergenic due to the lack of any oil and lanolin. 
  • Natural colours: alpaca fibre comes in 22 natural colours, which reduces the need to dye. All other colours can be produced by dyeing with natural ingredients. 
  • Good Practices: we work with a Peruvian manufacture that is committed to pay fair wages to the local artisans, guaranteeing good working conditions and proudly carry the Peru Fair Trade certification.
