Gus has lived in Vancouver, Canada for over 13 years, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Taiwanese parents. Before moving to Canada, he spent 10 years in Peru during his adolescence. In Canada, Gus pursued a career in the sports industry, working behind the scenes for major events in British Columbia.
The idea for Quni Boutique stemmed from Gus’s desire to introduce Peruvian culture to North America. Peru is renowned for its diverse landscapes, exquisite cuisine, and luxurious alpaca garments. While many top global brands feature alpaca clothing, there are few options for dog apparel.
With Quni baby alpaca sweaters, we aim to keep your dog cozy and elegant year-round. Alpacas are raised to the highest standards by Peruvian artisans, ensuring their wool is soft, warm, durable, water-resistant, sustainable, and luxurious.
The name Quni was chosen to accurately reflect the qualities of the dog sweater. Quni translates to "warm" in Quechua, a native language of Peru. Our passion for creating these exclusive garments stems from our love for dogs and alpacas.
